What if this is not 'this' ?

What if I suddenly realized that my life is going as per the script pre-decided by some novelist, and I actually don't have any control over it?

What if my life is nothing but a non-stop uninterrupted TV show, running for 25th consecutive year with me unaware?

Wat if I am actually living a century before, and am actually on my journey to know the future of the world?

What if in reality ghosts are the only things that exist, and humans are merely an illusion ?

What if time was actually not moving in forward direction?

What if on one fine day I find that they are about to demolish the earth to build the inter-galactic superhighway?

What if trees and animals suddenly interchange their roles and vegetarian plants eating only animals, while non vegetarian plants eating both plants and animals?

What if I am suddenly arrested just for imagining these all as I am committing a thoughtcrime ?

Seems like an overdose of fiction and movies!
Am I getting, rather sinking deeper and deeper into this virtual terrritory ?
Or maybe, I am just imagining things!
Or maybe it is a combination of above !
Maybe, I need a break
Damn !
But kab kyun kahan kaise ?

    Never said that it was.. :)

    Just that, the more you "mature", the more some things seem plausbile while others dont. Some pragmatists like to believe they have a better view of the world... The so-called "humne duniya dekhi hai"... :)

    Its pragmatism of this sort when you start classifying things that "can" or "can-not" be done, is when you kill that child-like enthusiasm!

    "The so-called "humne duniya dekhi hai" sometimes becomes a bottleneck for our imagination!

    I am reminded of a quote by Einstein (once again!!!) -
    "Imagination is more important than knoledge"

Any one with even an iota of interest in personal finance & its workings would probably know that credit card debts and personal loans are usually the worst kinds of debt traps that you can fall into. Yet many people fall into that trap again and again. Many people do come out of it eventually but some don't & this becomes a part of their "lifestyle". That you are eventually paying much more than you need to, if you default on credit card payments intentionally or unintentionally (probably @ 36 % per annum or something similar) or take a personal loan (say, @ 12% per annum or so) is not hard to fathom. The Forest

The Toyota Qualis and the Chvrolet Tavera stopped after a long journey. It was almost 9 in the night and it was pitch-dark. Night times in a forest are always pitch-dark. Adding to that it was a good `thirteen days since the last full moon day. Adding to this, the cloudy weather made visibility close to zero. Later in the night the forest would be engulfed in a fog making it nearly impossible to see. The only noise audible was that of silence, few random insects and that of a train going at a distance. After a long journey they all were quite weary and all they wanted was some rest so that the next day morning they can head for tiger and rhino spotting among many other species of flora and fauna in the wildlife sanctuary. Assured returns from stock markets?

Stocks (and hence mutual funds) are often sold as something that give "assured" long term returns over a period of time. While this has been true for most of the times, and all time if we consider a long enough time horizon in India's recent history but is this always true? Can it be possible that stock markets can give lesser, say 10% returns over next 10 years? Or 5 percent annual returns? Or, taking inspiration from Nicholas Taleb, a black swan event happens and your end up barely recovering 80 percent of your principal amount (i.e. 20 percent loss) -   Theoretically yes.  Hopefully no.  I am not a predictor of future, nor are thousands others who claim to have more than 1000% percent surety of future events. So, if you are contemplating taking a personal loan @ 12% for some financial need and want to be invested in a mutual fund for "assured" 12 / 15/ 18/ 25 percent returns, maybe you need to rethink. Child Labor

He was 10 years old. When asked he said that he was 15 years old. He didn’t know why. It was just that his master told him to do so. His name was Raju. When he was born, he was named as Shivkumar, but that name did not suit his master. So his name was changed. His master owned a small juice shop in some big institute, with around 500 people. Most of these students were his customers.
